And I’m not sure it will run at all on M1 because I’m not sure WINE supports Apple Silicon yet (or ever). At least with the current intel Mac you’re staying on x86 and “just” translating from 64 to 32 bit with an OS change. My i7 Mac might run 3-4 instances before bogging down.Įdit: You’re also going to make the problem even worse if you go M1 chip, as now you’re going form Apple Silicon to x86 32bit. It’s that the Mac is doing A LOT more work behind the scenes to get the job done. MT4 doesn’t use much ram, I have an Alienware laptop that easily runs 50 instances at once. You might want a Mac but the reality is a PC is the right tool for the job. You’re in finance, finance is an industry based upon PC systems running Windows, not Mac systems and “emulation” (since I don’t care to explain the difference right now).

You need to pickup a PC or get yourself a dedicated server and Remote Desktop into it. MT4 is from 2005, it’s not your system specs.

The problem is you’re using a Mac with 32bit Windows software through WINE.
